I moved to Arizona from Texas for what I thought would be a couple years. That was 24 years ago. I fell in love with the Valley and there is no place I’d rather be. I’ve lived in Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler and now finally in Scottsdale, although I have purchased four different homes in Scottsdale alone. Each area of the Valley has its own charm and special appeal. Living in so many of them has really helped me appreciate that—not to mention making it possible for me to be able to drive around without getting too lost!

In Texas, I worked for the Deaf Smith County Appraisal District (property taxes, ick!) in a very rural part of the state. (Oh, and by the way, Deaf Smith fought at the Alamo.) Upon moving to Arizona, I began working in the legal world after which I spent many, many years in the corporate world, writing and negotiating contracts. Real estate seemed a logical transition what with the land experience from Texas and my experience with negotiations and large transactions. I love getting to a good outcome—making sure everyone walks away with their number 1 priority (and hopefully a couple number 2’s!). I don’t believe in adversarial negotiations. Everyone really wants the same thing, just to get the best deal possible.

Making that match between property owner and property buyer has become my passion. I understand the difficulty of selecting a new home as well as letting go of that home you have lived in and its memories. I know it is hard. And as a single mom, I understand the pressures and time constraints we are all under. These all make my role as intermediary even more important. You shouldn’t have to sweat the details. That is what I am for. You don’t even have to understand it all. I will use every effort to make sure you get the best deal possible. I can even help translate those crazy lawyer words into English.
